Kasher Vacation Packages for Tourists
Enjoy your trip — we'll handle the kashruth!
Whether you are a restaurateur seeking to serve the growing observant community, a hotel catering to Jewish and Muslim guests, or a food processing plant in need of reliable supervision, the Caribbean Kashruth Authority (CKA) provides professional kasher certification built on halakhic rigor, transparency, and Sepharadi tradition.
What's included?
#1
Pre-Packaged Kasher Meals (Bet Yosef Standard)
All meals are prepared under Bet Yosef standards of sheḥitah, nikur, and meliḥah, with supervision by trained mashgiḥim. Meals are vacuum-sealed, labeled with production and expiration dates, and delivered frozen or refrigerated depending on your travel schedule and destination.
Meal options include:
Besarí (meat) and Sethamí (pareve) meals with clear labeling
Setamí snacks and travel-safe options
Fish and eggs verified according to oral tradition (e.g., fins + scales, oval eggs without bloodspots)
All ingredients checked for insects, tebel, hadash, and orlah as per location
#2
Certified Access to Kitchen Facilities
If you plan to cook on-site — in a hotel, villa, or Airbnb — CKA will coordinate directly with your lodging provider to:
Ensure exclusive use or kasher access to kitchens
Provide kashered cookware, or supervise onsite kasherization
Certify kitchens for your exclusive use with valid certification for your stay
This includes full hag’alath kelim, libun, and use of designated kelim kesherim, with tebilath kelim if needed. All processes follow the practical guidelines presented by Rabbi Yehonatán Elé’azar-DeMota, including exceptions for melamine/plastic.
#3
Grocery List Planning and Sourcing
We provide:
Local or import-based grocery list, tailored to your needs
Review of processed foods for acceptable heksherim or exemptions
Location-based alerts (e.g. “mero basa” in the Dominican Republic is a non-kasher species often misrepresented as snapper)
Where possible, we source from local Adventist vegetarian markets or direct farms.
#4
Mashgiaḥ Support for Cooking Days
Planning a special meal or Shabbath? CKA can assign a temporary mashgiaḥ to supervise:
All cooking operations requiring bishul yisrael
Use of ovens, stovetops, grills, etc.
Ingredient checking and final plating
All mashgiḥim are trained in bishul akkum exceptions (e.g. sushi, Adventist vegetarian prep) and the Sepharadi applications of these laws.
#5
Documentation and Short-Term Certification
We issue a kasher certificate valid for the duration of your trip, covering:
Kitchen status and supervision
Meal preparation standards
Applicable leniencies or humeróth noted in writing
This certificate can be shared with travel companions or facility staff for transparency and assurance.
How to book?
To ensure full preparation and proper kasherization, we require at least one week’s advance notice. Use our Kasher Travel Request Form to begin. We’ll follow up with a personalized intake and price estimate.
**Urgent requests may be accommodated depending on region and staff availability.
CKA Halakhic Standard
CKA follows the rulings of Maran R. Yoseph Karo as codified in Shulḥan ‘Arukh, along with practical guidance drawn from the Geonic-Andalusian tradition. Our supervisory practices are rooted in:
דין וחסד — strict integrity with compassion for practical application
ספק דאורייתא לחומרא, ספק דרבנן לקולא — strict in biblical law, lenient in rabbinic, unless overridden by minhag
Clear application of bishul yisrael, tebel, hadash, orlah, and related laws — adapted per location and diaspora conditions
Real-time consultation with CKA’s beit din for unique or complex cases
